Rica's Summer - Patricia G Penny

Title: Rica’s Summer
Author: Patricia G Penny
Series: Not Just Proms & Parties
Pages: 140

Back Cover: Some things never change… Rica and her family are spending summer vacation camping together again. As usual, her older (gorgeous) sisters are off having fun with boys, while Rica is left behind. But when she meets Stefan, a cute volleyball player on the beach, things start to look up – until she and one of her sisters realize they have both been the targets of his affection. When the sisters come up with a plan for revenge, Rica finds herself in a frightening situation that’s quickly spinning out of her control.

My Thoughts: I enjoyed the book, I couldn’t put it down. I was up late reading about Rica’s family camping trip. However I wasn’t as happy with the ending. I’m glad that her and her sisters decided that they were going to be friends and get along but I really liked the character Finney and what Patricia did to him I can’t imagine based on how he acted in the book. If Stefan or Kyle would have not listened when Rica said no I would have totally bought it but Finney comes out all a sudden and he doesn’t take no for an answer. I was really upset because I could see the two characters having a relationship together but that was all thrown away in a drunken experience.
